Suhl was recommended to me by a friend after my boyfriend and I had struggled to find a place with another agent for a while.
Suhl is fantastic. She is honest, understanding, responsive, detail-oriented, pragmatic, knowledgeable, and well-connected with other realtors. But what I appreciate most is that Suhl is just REAL with you - there is not an ounce of pushiness or manipulation or ulterior motive besides helping you find the best home for you. She gives you her truthful and expert take, but ultimately lets you steer your own decisions.
Immediately from our first meeting, I knew we would be able to see eye-to-eye. In just the first hour together, she had helped us narrow down the exact areas and type of home we wanted, pinpointed a few good options to start with, and had begun setting up appointments (this was already more helpful than anything we had experienced with our previous realtor over the course of months). Within days of this first meeting, she had arranged for a visit at the condo that would ultimately become our first home. Crazy.
As first time homebuyers, Suhl served as a great source of knowledge and guidance. She asked the seller's agent/inspector/everyone involved in the entire process all the questions that we didn't even know to ask.
Various things we were impressed with along the way:
- Every message and question we sent her was met with a prompt response. Some pieces of information were not in her control to provide, and we had even forgotten about it, only to be reminded when she would send us follow ups with findings that she had finally tracked down. How does she keep track of it all?!
- 'Oh, I know (realtor's name). She always prices under.' etc... Suhl just knows SF real estate
- Suhl seems to be able to build great professional relationships with other realtors. She was even able to convince the seller's agent to discourage the sellers from countering our offer
- When our first loan application was denied due to unforeseen factors, Suhl kept us calm and had connected us to a great lender who was able to quickly get us approved
- Thank goodness Suhl made sure we kept all of our contingencies and arranged for an inspection. It kept us sane through our loan troubles and worries about the permit-less renovations. She is unfazed by the craziness of the SF market that encourages reckless buyer behavior
- Suhl was actually on vacation while all of the loan drama was unfolding. Somehow it still felt like she was right here with us as she and her partner Bobbi were in reach the whole time and helped us work through everything
- She sought out compensation for us after we discovered some damage during the final walkthrough (we probably wouldn't have even asked about it)
I would highly recommend Suhl. She is a joy to work with, and I'm almost kind of sad that our home buying process went by so quickly!
Thank you so much, Suhl!
