GrayBeard Realty, and its agent Bob Rhein assisted me in finding a home after moving to Asheville. I had a wide range of types of homes acceptable to me, so this was not easy for them, feom condos, to stand alone, to urban, to a development. One place we looked at was a foreclosure. They recommended an inspector, who found a tick list of over 40 items. We lowered my offer, and began the search for competent contractors to address the issue. The seller did not respond to the lower offer, we with drew it, and they sold it for a lower price than my offer 3 months later after the market had settled some. Another home I looked at i like but the seller was attempting to make 60K in profit on a one month turn around. Graybeard said it was no where near worth the asking price. I made an offer, more than I really wanted but i did love the location, and it was a serious offer. Sellers rejected it and i did not counter, nor did the sellers. We agreed to move on. This house ended up selling for less than my initial offer, in fact, less than sellers paid for it 4 months later.i found a home, Bob helped me negotiate and found information on the home ( as well as others we looked at) to facillitate the process and we closed in a very tight market in late June. Then, on a Sunday night after living there for a month or so, i inadvertently set of the alarm. I called Bob at 8:45 pm to see if he could get the code to shut off . He got back to me in 10 minutes with the answer. Thanks Bob and GrayBeard.
