Shortly after moving to Texas, I met James Fairchild. He lives in my neighborhood and introduced himself. Nearly 5 years later, I needed to sell my dad's house, rather quickly and because I had to take power of attorney I wanted it to be as easy as possible. I introduced James to my dad, and we went about talking about the sale, agreed on a price, and I then knew I had to push my timeline. James helped me by doing a coming soon offering, knowing it would generate some buzz, but we did not want people coming to the house until my dad was out and the estate sale was completed. As those dates approached a sign went up and before we even proceeded to list or finish the minor repairs, we got an offer, put it off and they improved their position. James helped me with some of the details I was less aware of, got me someone who could help my dad downsize and pack, and connected me with an estate salesperson who just happened to be able to meet our timing. All through the process, James made this easy, simple and something I could understand. This is a big deal to me because my last sale of a home was in California and the realtor basically lied, over-promised, pushed me to do tons of repairs that were not needed, and in the end made my profits on the house much lower than they should have been. James has redeemed the entire real estate profession in this transaction. I will go to no other realtor ever, and I highly encourage people moving into Texas and especially exploring Oak Cliff to put your full trust and faith in James. He is an outstanding member of his community, a top salesperson, a great negotiator, and a solid friend.
