Sheri is AMAZING! My husband and I relocated our family to the Richmond area from across the country. We had a very limited amount of time in Richmond to house hunt before our move. Sheri went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we found the perfect home. She took the time to get to get to know us and was invested in finding us a home that met our needs. If you are new to the Richmond, VA area Sheri is a wealth of knowledge! We were relocating with no knowledge of the location, neighborhoods, school districts, local real estate practices, lenders and other agencies involved in the home buying process locally. She helped direct us to resources to become better informed, provided direction and responded to our questions where she was professionally permitted to by law. She lined up 2 very long days of house showings that we selected. She was respectful of our wish list and needs and didn't try to pressure us into other homes. She stayed with us (late!) in our hotel lobby while we made our selection and crafted our offer. She coordinated the inspections, the closing, etc from 2 states away for us. She remained in constant contact with us, was very responsive, and overall helped us to have a smooth process moving to Richmond, VA and finding our new home. We relocated from a different city which was very stressful but Sheri made everything so easy and was there for us as we made the transition. When we first started home search we lived in Las Vegas. Our first experience with Sheri she gathered information about our needs. She showed my husband three properties while he was here in Virginia interviewing. She took that time to gather even more information about our needs, budget and ideas about the perfect home for us.
Even with the difference in timezone Sheri still made herself available. The area surrounding Virginia Commonwealth University is very large, but she had a wealth of knowledge on all areas. She assisted with information on schools, the housing market and resale value for us down the road. Since I was not yet locally living here Sheri sent me daily listings for a host of different areas. When I came to visit one weekend she spent the entire work day with us showing us homes. She went to the most obscure places so we could find our dream home. She even took us to a few of the homes twice as we narrowed our decision.
Once we had found our country home she really proved her worth. She negotiated ferociously for us. She suggested closing agent and lenders. Sheri is not only a great broker she is an awesome person. The night before our closing she called us while she was out shopping. COVID-19 cases were just becoming prevalent in Virginia and everyone was hoarding toilet paper. She wanted to make sure we had our basic necessities. If you want the best - you want Sheri Butler.
And since we moved close to a winery she gave us a gift card at closing!
