Dear Sally: First, thank you so much for the $100 gift certificate to The Tides, our favorite place. That was just another kind extension of your unreserved generosity, and it is us who should be sending YOU a gift for all you've done for us. WE have actually been racking our brains regarding how we can thank you for your professionalism, your effectiveness, your tenacity, and your friendship. Having considered everything from restaurant gift cards, to flowers, to candy, to other physical gifts you probably don't need or want, we decided instead, to simply give you the gift of our infinite and deeply held gratitude and appreciation for everything you did to sell our home, which we hope you know we hold in the depths of our souls. In Indian River, there are many choices to make when it comes to selecting a realtor. In our case, we consider ourselves fortunate enough to have met you during the purchase of our Bent Pine building lot. What impressed Don and I about the way you sell a lot/house, was your honesty, frankness, and depth of detail. Every question we had ... you searched, and probed, and doggedly endeavored to get us an answer; or if necessary, refer us to someone who knew the answer. You took the task to heart, and it was solely for our benefit (not yours), and we felt it. You not only understood the emotions going through a typical buyers mind, but you personalized your response to make us feel like we were the only buyer/seller you had. We were number one in your eyes. Having gotten to know you then, and coming to understand your typical listing and clientele; when it came time to sell our mainland home, we hesitated a bit, only because we knew, generally, you market more expensive properties. But you treated our home with the same enthusiasm, respect, and energy as we can imagine you would have for a much more financially rewarding property. We were amazed at your willingness to meet ANYONE interested in seeing our home at ANY time. We were thrilled there was so much activity, and grateful for your dynamism. You assisted us in sorting out and choosing the appropriate contract offers, and educated us in the finer details regarding contract implications and negotiations. You became our "real estate Google" because you were an encyclopedia of real estate knowledge. As we mentioned before, we learned a lot from you. And you know, at the end of the day, you sold our house twice due to the first contract unfortunately falling short. You handled the contract withdrawal with such personal grace, unflappable poise, true professionalism and gritty determination, that we truly didn't miss a beat in finally selling our home to a couple we're sure will fit comfortably into the old neighborhood. There is no way we can ever repay you for taking such personal care of our home, our investment, our safe haven with such kindness and sensitivity. You always were available for discussion, always gave 100%, always searching for a buyer. So in conclusion, in lieu of a fleeting gift of some frivolous trinket, we hope instead that you will accept of gift of our SINCERE gratitude, appreciation, respect, and affection we feel for you and your role as our realtor and friend. You have forever left your mark on our hearts and that feeling will last forever. While this letter is a personal one, we hope you don't mind that we have CC'd a copy to your corporate office, so they too can come to know the caliber of staff representing their brand, and how much you exemplify TRUE caring and outstanding customer service. Sally, we so appreciate your guidance, instruction, and assistance, and wish you happy and healthy days in the coming years. Best wishes,Don and Patti Battistap.s. If you're ever in the neighborhood; please stop in. We'd be thrilled to see you.
