Born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, Porter McEver knows the area like the back of his hand. A product of the local school system, he was a swimmer on the local swim team and worked as a lifeguard on New Smyrna's beaches throughout high school and bey0nd. Porter's passion for Florida real estate and the state's landscape, beaches, and lakes is evident through his dedication to his customers. People are drawn to Porter's affable personality, positive attitude, and warm smile. By creating true relationships with his buyers and sellers, Porter brings a real estate transaction past the point of being "business." He consistently goes above and beyond to get the job done, chasing the thrilling rush he finds in helping his customers make their real estate dreams become a reality. A member of the New Smyrna Beach Board of REALTORS®, Porter specializes in beachfront, riverfront, and lakefront homes. As the son of a boating magazine publisher, he grew up around the top center-console boats in the world, flats fishing in New Smyrna and off-shore fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to his New Smyrna roots, Porter has firsthand knowledge of the communities surrounding Winter Park, having spent extended periods of time in the area since he was a young boy wakesurfing and wakeboarding on the chain of lakes. Today, Porter splits his time living and working in both New Smyrna Beach and Winter Park. An avid surfer and hunter, Porter loves waking up when the sky is still dark and watching the sun rise with a fresh pot of coffee. Outside of the office, Porter serves on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Volusia and Flagler County. As part of the club's blue-ribbon committee, he's spearheaded numerous fundraisers for the area's children, witnessing firsthand the amazing miracles along the way.
