It has taken me several weeks to respond to this survey because the experience I had with Megan was so positive, I felt I would not have had the time previously express it fully. I had met Megan through a wellness event several years ago and she mentioned she was a real estate agent. While at this event, I realized what a wonderful person she was. This was before I was ready to buy a home (but super eager to) and thought that I would keep her name in mind when it came time to purchase. Due to her approachable nature, I felt I could reach out to her about looking for a home when I only had a 'soft' approval from a mortgage broker. I did not have a property in mind to purchase and I was unsure what I could afford on a single income. Megan never for one second made me feel as if I could possibly be wasting her time (which was a huge concern for me). I work full-time, 9-5, Monday to Friday, and in this market, homes can be missed in the span of hours. When a home would become available that may suit my needs, Megan would personally message me to let me know. This was incredibly helpful because while I cannot monitor my personal email throughout my workday, I am able to check my messages periodically. I'm not sure I would have seen these homes in time to make a decision without her personal messages (this is outside the Dashboard that I really did enjoy looking through, I just was not always able to review it before the home was basically scooped up!). Megan responded to messages from me (even during the evenings/weekends!!) within minutes. MINUTES! She would answer what I felt were foolish questions as if I had just asked her the most important question of her career. I've never felt so secure in a person's abilities as I did with her. I am a first time home buyer, but my 60-year-old mother lives with me and has purchased many homes in her lifetime. Even she (a hard to impress woman) was impressed with Megan's knowledge of the home (that was not even her listing) and her careful and thoughtful questions to the realtor. She thought of concerns that we hadn't considered and brought items to our attention that we didn't notice in our walk-through. She highlighted the possibilities that suited what I wanted in a home and the potential drawbacks. Megan recommended a great home inspector and assisted (beyond what I would have expected) with hiring a septic company to inspect the tank. My entire home purchase was a little more complicated than usual, and there were several hiccups and many back and forth emails to the vendor's realtor. I cannot fully express how grateful I am to have had Megan throughout this process. I know without a doubt, if she had not been at the helm, I would have given up. I had very low expectations for what I could afford for my first home. I thought I would be facing thousands of dollars in renovations, or stuck in a home that was too small for my needs. I am now sitting in my beautiful sunporch, on my third Saturday in what is, without a doubt, my dream home.
