Liz was very dedicated to helping us find a house. We only had a few days to look when we were visiting from out of town and she cleared her calendar (at least it felt that way!) to make sure that we saw a variety of houses that met our requirements and were in our price range. She also helped us understand the seller's disclosures and how to read between the lines on the different listings. Further, her experience as a homeowner and a broker helped us as we considered repairs that might need to be made on different houses. She was very professional, not pushing her thoughts or ideas on us, but when we asked for help or ideas, she was forthcoming. She was very warm and made us feel like really valuable clients even though we were not big spenders.
We spoke with a number of potential brokers before making our selection. We were looking for someone who was knowledgeable about the area, who had experience with first-time buyers, and who didn't see put off by our (relatively low) budget. We appreciated that Liz took the time to speak with us at length during that first conversation. It felt like she was already working for us. She came highly recommended by a colleague and we could see why.
Finally, Liz was integral in the negotiation process. She helped us navigate a really difficult situation in which the appraisal came back lower than the agreed upon price (twice), kept us from panicking, and talked with us at length about the various options available to us in the process - helping us find middle ground with the sellers. She also helped us complete our purchase very quickly by getting the paperwork to us in a timely manner and communicating via text, email, and phone. We highly recommend Liz Bargfrede and will work with her again on our next home purchase!
