My husband and I moved to KY from CO. I was diagnosed with an illness which prevented me from living in the high altitude. We chose KY to be near our grandchildren. On our first house hunting weekend I was quite sick but we thought we had found the perfect house but unfortunately it failed badly during the inspection. Many hidden problems and Kathy knew the right people to ask and give us good advice. In the time to follow, I was too ill to make trips out to KY but Kathy was incredible in helping us . She would find houses for us to see online, then go to see the houses herself and show them to us via FaceTime. Walking through them and talking with us showing all the details, inside and out. We met Kathy through our daughters who were living in Louisville and had purchased their homes through her. About 7 years later after many visits to our girls, we also decided to move to Louisville. We left a house that we lived in for more than 33 years. We were both born and raised there. We met with Kathy multiple times to tell her our wants and needs, much more detailed than our daughters, lol, right down to the direction we wanted the house to face, and the number of trees allowed close to the house. It was quite funny, but Kathy was patient and understanding of the big move this would be for us. By now Kathy had become a dear friend. I was very particular about my new Kitchen. None of the houses we looked at fit my desire for a grand kitchen. So, after looking at many houses we started looking at new developers and new construction homes. Kathy provided attentive representation to our wants and needs when we looked at model homes, interviews and meetings for the building process. We wanted a pond, and no neighbors behind us for privacy, because we were planning on putting in an inground pool. The house needed to face south, so the sun would come up at just the right place over the pool. Kathy listened carefully and understood all that we told her. We finally found just the right lot and it just so happened to be 1/4 of a mile from our daughter that built her house. We give Kathy the highest recommendation; she is a professional; she works hard and is very knowledgeable and thorough in all she does. She goes beyond and above all of our expectations in all she does. She walked with us all through each step of the building process and wasn’t done until the day we received our keys. Kathy was absolutely the right realtor for us when we relocated to Louisville. I am a very particular client and we had a very tight timef-rame of 48 hours in town to find a home. She discussed our needs and desires ahead of time, showing her depth of knowledge of Louisville in our discussions about neighborhoods, schools, etc., then scheduled a day of showings for us. She picked us up, had a packet of printed information about each home ready for us, and provided thoughtful feedback along the way. We thought we found the perfect home, but I wasn't 100% convinced, so, based on what she observed of us on that first day, Kathy scheduled a few more showings for the following day, including a second showing at the home we thought was the one. Once we had decided that we were indeed in love with that home, she deftly navigated negotiations and helped us land our dream home! Kathy is patient and thoughtful, yet works expeditiously to ensure tight deadlines are always met with confidence. Another time we were purchasing a home from out of state, Kathy was wonderful in setting up showings for us where she would host a preliminary walk through the home with us on FaceTime. She was careful and thoughtful to talk through details you might notice in person, but are difficult to catch on FaceTime (for example, ceiling height is tough to catch on a screen, but she made sure to check basement ceiling height for us, saving us from a home with an impossibly short ceiling that we were otherwise ready to offer on!). She guided us to ensure we visited the home in person prior to the end of the period in which we could cancel, raised insightful questions, and took care to ensure we were thoroughly happy before moving forward. We have had a few instances of hurdles arising prior to closing, and Kathy skillfully guided us through those situations with a level of professionalism that not many could manage. I have always been thankful to have her on our side. We have purchased and sold several homes with Kathy over the last 15 years. There is absolutely no one else we would call in Louisville. We have the utmost confidence in her.
