Karina and Kiyan did a very impressive job with the sale of my mother's home in Lake Bonavista that she's owned since 1972. After finally deciding that it was time to sell my mother wanted it sold quickly, and obviously for the best price possible.
Karina and Kiyan walked through the house with us and reviewed comparable listings in the area in order to determine the best way to price the house given its great location, the condition of the house (it needs work), and how the market is behaving. They came back with a strategy on how to price the house in order to create pre-listing interest in the property with the objective of getting multiple showings and offers once the house hit the market. Wanting the house as empty as possible caught us a little off-guard, but with some help we had the house cleared out before it went on the market. This was a great move as it really showed how big the house was, and let the buyers come up with their own thoughts on the house without all the personal clutter of the owner.
Their strategy worked out exactly as planned. The first day on the market there were five showings with multiple offers the following morning. Karina and Kiyan meticulously walked through each offer with my mother highlighting both the good points and the things to be concerned about. By late afternoon the day after listing the property it was sold for $30K over list price and with no conditions. On her 91st birthday my mother, with the help of Karina and Kiyan, was able to sell her last house.
My mother was very happy to have both of them as her realtors. She really liked them, their demeanor, and the way they dealt with her respectfully knowing that selling her home of 52 years was not an easy decision.
