So when it came time to selling my old house earlier this year, I knew who to call. Once again, he was superb. This was my first time selling. J helped keep me sane and  was very reassuring throughout the overwhelming process! His insight into what repairs to make to maximize profit was invaluable, as were his recommendations of various contractors to make those repairs. He really took the time to learn the market in my neighborhood when helping me decide what my list price should be for the house. J always responded to my questions quickly, and after receiving multiple offers he also informed me of his negotiation strategy and made sure I agreed with it before he proceeded. I won't say I enjoyed selling a house. However, J made the experience as pleasant and stress-free as possible. I will be calling him if I ever need to sell again.

This was my first experience as a home buyer, and my husband’s second. I was naturally uncertain about the whole process, but from the moment we first spoke with J we knew why he had been recommended to us. After an in depth search for a realtor for the purchase of our next home, we decided to go with J Myers. A major factor in that decision was his extensive knowledge of the neighborhood we wanted to purchase in, the Kentland/Lakelands. We passed over many qualified realtors, but in the end, we are  happy and enthusiastic to say that we made the right decision. This is even taking into account that we did not even end up purchasing in the intended neighborhood. J's value to us as home buyers became further evident when we were targeting a home in a neighborhood that was not his expertise. He was able to use his extensive contacts and sleuthing skills to obtain critical information on the home that we ultimately closed on. The extent and value of his contact network that he brings to bear for you as a client was not limited to this incident. We were trying to resolve our current rental lease and had some questions. J was able to provide resources to help us overcome this hurdle in our home purchase process. If you have a question about anything in your home purchase process, if he doesn't know it, he will find the answer or he knows someone who does. He even went the extra mile and agreed to help during the walk through of the home we are moving out of (a long story). He could have easily said no, and we were uncomfortable even asking, but we had no other option. His willingness to help us out when it isn't even his role or responsibility speaks volumes to how much of a dedicated agent he is and how hard he will work to get you the house you want. We could not have done this without him. Although the whole process took longer than we anticipated due to the highly competitive buyer's market, we got to know J and we'd like to think that our family has added a friend, and he was especially great with our toddler.

I don't know where to begin. J was hands down the best realtor to work with. I was a first time home buyer at the time and J couldn't have been more patient...almost 2 years worth of patience. I'm picky, what can I say. J never pressured me into buying and always was on my side. Once we finally  found the house that fit all my needs J was able to negotiate the price down as well as get me additional seller credit. I love the home I'm in and I wouldn't be here if it was for J. Can't wait to work w/ J again in the near future.
