 Joan McMahon did a superb job helping my family sell my father's condo in Venice. She did much more than the average broker and never once complained. I have been working with Joan McMahon for approximately two to three years when Joan heard from a mutual friend that I was planning on retiring to FL from NJ when the time came.  Until then, Joan has emailed the listings in the area and, every once in a while, gave a call to let me know the market conditions in Venice.  Not only that, but Joan was a great source of information while my own home was on the market. My home sold within a week and, a month and a half later, I was on a plane.  All this while, Joan and I were in touch regarding properties I was interested in seeing.  The first full day I was here, Joan, our mutual friend Lynn and I visited every house in the area I was looking to live, found my new home with a lake and golf course view and put an offer on the house that night.  The house is in bad shape - new roof, etc. - and Joan was with me every step of the way with inspections, suggesting names of contractors I would need to breathe new life into my new home and the seemingly endless back-and-forth negotiation of price, right through to the closing.
