Given the present frenzy in housing sales and the fact that she was working ultimately to serve another realty agent I want to address Jennifer’s ability to navigate every obstacle and angle with the utmost level of grace and professionalism. The prospect of purchasing a home - at a distance - was certainly difficult for us. There’s easily well over 100 texts and e-mails on my phone that document the ongoing thread of discourse leading up to our possession date and even many after that. All along, Jennifer demonstrated objectivity, empathy and clarity as well as having paid great attention to detail. There were never any loose ends. She was there for us when the going got tough. Jennifer definitely “had our backs” throughout the entire process. I also want to speak to the countless number of hours Jennifer dedicated toward making our purchase a reality. I’m reminded of a clause I read somewhere in the Century 21 Agreement of Purchase and Sale “legalese” that speaks to Time Being of the Essence. In our personal opinion... Jennifer embodies this concept. Everything about this sale fit into that model of time which was definitely a priority for us. Now that we’re all moved in, still surrounded in moving containers, but with some furniture in place, pellet stove on and the Christmas tree up, I’m reflecting back on the process and realizing that this was a difficult but extremely worthwhile endeavour, orchestrated and directed through partnership with Jennifer. We would call Jennifer a most valuable asset to Century 21.

Overall working with Jennifer Payne was a brilliant experience. She remained calm, friendly, and professional throughout everything including the bumps at the end with closing conditions not being met by the seller. Jennifer was one of the first agents I met that I felt was trying to help me without doing so to get my business. I felt that she understood my needs and wants and made me comfortable wading into the complicated process that is buying my first home. During the process Jennifer answered my questions quickly (or within a couple hours if she needed to research them); was available by e-mail and phone anytime I needed input or had questions; gave her thoughts when asked, but held back until I had my first impression about a place figured out; and never pushed me to hurry or make a decision one way or the other. Jennifer was very thorough on explaining the contract and made that process go smoothly. Closing had more than a couple bumps resulting from the sellers side (4.5/6 conditions not met), but Jennifer went above and beyond for me to get quotes, negotiate a hold-back, and line up companies for me to call after closing to have them fixed. Thanks to her extra work the companies knew what I was calling about and already had plans in place to complete the job. All I needed to do was schedule them and now a week later all but half of one is finished (it's a big job that needed the worker to come back a second time). Everyone I asked had good things to say about Jennifer Payne and they were correct. Overall Jennifer was excellent to work with and made the entire process fun, a great learning experience, and, most importantly, less stressful for me. I'm glad I went with her and would recommend Jennifer to anyone looking to buy a home.
