Jan and Mark are the perfect team when it comes to Real Estate in the Westchester area. Jan grew up in Scarsdale and has lived in Harrison with Mark for over 30 years. Jan has many years of real estate experience, while Mark used to be a home builder so he knows what to look for in houses from a structural perspective, as well as dealing with painters, contractors, etc. We first met Jan at a house that she was selling in Harrison. We didnt have a car so she offered to drive us to the next house that we were looking at. Jan was extremely friendly, family-oriented and knowledgeable about the area. We could have worked with many other agents, but chose Jan and Mark because they were truly dedicated and provided outstanding personalized service. Over the next year and half, they tirelessly showed us houses all over Southern Westchester (Harrison, Larchmont, Rye Neck, Rye City, and Scarsdale), since we were initially looking in many areas. Since we didnt yet have a car, coming from NYC, they always picked us up from the train station and drove us to showings. As first-time home buyers from NYC, we knew little about the process and Jan and Mark guided us every step of the way. They always had our best interests at heart and went above and beyond what 99% of agents would do. For example, they put us into contact with families in the area that had similar backgrounds and concerns with buying as us. Another example is that they spotted a problem for us at one house during the inspection that the inspector didnt even notice, leading us to pass on that house and saving us a future headache. Even as our preference for location and house types changed during the process, they stayed patient with us. Once we settled on our ideal house, they also used their prior experience to help us negotiate with painters, contractors, etc. to make sure that we were treated fairly. We still keep in contact with Jan and Mark and consider them to be friends now. We highly recommend Jan and Mark if you are selling or looking to buy a home in Westchester. They are truly special people and were an immense help!
