With her deep knowledge of Louisville and its real estate markets, plus her insight and positive attitude, Hope Daniels enabled us to discover Louisville and our place in it. My wife and I began searching for a home in Kentucky in December 2019. It took us 22 months start to finish. We were tough customers, I suppose. I recently retired. Empty nesters, we sold our big house in Portland, Oregon and relocated to Louisville to reduce our cost of living and to be closer to family. We weren't just looking for a new house, we were looking for a whole new way to be! We looked everywhere... In the suburbs, in the city, in the country, on the Ohio River... Big houses, little houses, fixer-uppers, condominiums... I lost track of how many neighborhoods, developments and houses we toured. Eventually, we gave up looking and tried to build a new custom home, but were ultimately frustrated by the shocking rise in building costs. That meant we had to start our search for an existing home all over again. Throughout this process--complicated by the pandemic, the economy and our indecision, Hope was tireless. Once we finally zeroed in on the right neighborhood, things began to move. Once we found the right house, she helped us craft the right offer. When inspections revealed a few unpleasant surprises, she worked with us and with the sellers to reach a final agreement that preserved goodwill between the parties.
