Garel did an excellent job helping us understand the pitfalls of buying, and building a new house. We really appreciated his expertise and knowledge to get us into our new house.
The house we sold was a very difficult transaction, not the fault of Garel. We all thought based on the upgrades to the property that we had done, that the house would sell in a week. Hindsight being what it is, we should have probably entered the market at a lower price and accepted anything within the ballpark. We had an offer a year ago that was $100,000.00 dollars over the price we sold for on August 20th. The other pitfall that we fell into was multiple reductions in price, that I think incentivized potential customers to wait for the next price drop. Garel worked his butt off, holding many many open houses and working with others in your office to insure that we were doing everything possible to get more people through the door. He was especially helpful once our deal came through. My wife and I were out of town for two weeks after we accepted an offer. He helped lineup the people necessary to get us through the due diligence process and get the deal finalized. This was an extremely costly year for my wife and I, but we truly feel that Garel did everything within his power to promote, negotiate, and get the deal done. I hope the new owners enjoy the house as much as my wife and I did. The subdivision for the house we sold had extreme activity with over 24 houses within the community for sale at its height. We finally had success in July of this year when the area had proximate 14 houses for sale. The declining market was also unexpected and unfortunately kept our listing active longer than anybody thought it would. Again, Garel did a great job for my wife and I, and we would use him again if we ever are in the market to buy or sell.
