Carole Evans is a FANTASTIC realtor and my experience working with her has been second to none. I met Carole by chance, in April 2021 - she responded to a rental listing I had inquired about - and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have found the great apartment I have now had it not been for Carole. I hadn’t thought much about buying, but Carole gave me some great points to consider and ultimately ended up showing me both apartments for rent and for sale. This was extremely helpful because it allowed me to compare all my options and make a more informed decision. She showed me tons of places in upper NW DC between April and July 2021, paying special attention to my specific must haves/nice to haves and never making me feel rushed into making a decision before I was ready. In fact, Carole spent a lot of time with me at each property she showed me, answered all my questions, followed up to get more information when needed, helped me think through things, and never made me feel like she had somewhere else to be. I was extremely particular about what I was looking for in a place, and Carole went above and beyond to consider all my needs and show me places that would meet those needs. She set up a customized portal for me to view properties for rent and sale. She even took careful notes of what I thought at each property, so she could build on that and find me options that got even closer to what I wanted. When I found a property that I thought could be “the one,” she set up a second showing and spent over 2 hours with me going through every detail to make sure I felt sure about it before submitting an application. She also helped me strategize on negotiating a move-in date and other conditions. Even after my rental application was approved, Carole continued to be my advocate and my champion, helping ensure the move-in process and everything leading up to and after it went smoothly (to-date, she is still doing this, helping make sure the maintenance issues in my unit are properly addressed). This was extremely helpful, especially considering the property management company for the condo I’m renting is less than stellar. Had it not been for Carole, I don’t think the property management company would have been responsive to my questions and concerns. The process of renting or buying a home - especially when doing it alone - can be very daunting. Carole made me feel like I was never alone. She was in it with me every step of the way, always with my best interests at heart. The service she provided was so excellent and personalized that it made me feel as if I was her only client. She is incredibly responsive (responding to my emails and texts right away, even if I sent them at late hours!), dedicated, kind, hardworking, accessible, knowledgeable, and savvy. She knows her stuff and she can explain it in a way that makes sense, even for new prospective home buyers or renters. She is more than an excellent realtor - she is a true advocate who will go out of her way to make her clients are happy. I ended up renting instead of buying this time, but if I buy a home in the future, I will absolutely use Carole as my realtor again. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her.
