We recently closed on the sale of our Forest Hills Garden home, during a very difficult market for sales. Bruce Eaton, of Corcoran was our Real Estate agent. He knows his trade, makes use of the many tools available to him, understood us (the sellers) and our priorities and represented us beautifully. Because we had moved a distance away, we relied on Bruce’s stewardship to help us maintain our home in perfect working order - whether that meant helping us identify reputable vendors, be present for them or facilitating payments. Despite our requesting the USPS to forward mail to our new home, it frequently failed to do so and Bruce ensured mail never piled up outside our home, called our attention to any letters requiring immediate attention, and - along with the stagers- helped optimize the presentation of home. Bruce assiduously prepared for marketing our home - using the data available via Corcoran and other sources for comparisons and assessments. He made sure that the property was well-advertised using all the avenues of social media available to him personally, and as a Corcoran employee. Importantly, Bruce communicates well and efficiently. He kept us abreast of his efforts with a weekly written report, conference calls, and as the complexity of offers increased, invited us to zoom calls with him and his manager. He readily communicated with us about the several offers we had received, analyzing pros/cons, with the perspective of knowing which aspects mattered most to us. Bruce was present for open house tours, which he scheduled nearly weekly. He held visitors/prospective buyers accountable for maintaining the cleanliness of the house (e.g. having them use shoe covers). Bruce never lost his cool and always provided thoughtful guidance to us. We could not have been more pleased with his honesty, work ethic, flexibility and professionalism, and would not hesitate to engage him as our real estate agent if the opportunity arose.
