Brigid is the best realtor that I ever could have hoped for. After several years of looking for a home near my disabled sister in Asheville, my health issues worsened to the point that I could no longer physically come to Asheville to look for a home. I had begun to give up all hope of finding my retirement home. Brigid actively let it be known to the realtors in the area what type of home I was looking for and got early notification of a home before it was listed. She made sure that she was the first realtor to obtain a showing. The fact that I was able to buy a home at a price I could afford in an extraordinarily difficult seller’s market was purely due to Brigid’s outstanding hard work and persistence. She is very adept at showing homes (and also very adept at showing by video in real time). She is very thorough. For example, she checks to see if the gas water heater, air conditioning system and ductwork have been recently maintenanced. She reviews the general condition of the home for possible signs of wear (and need for repair) to the paint, the flooring, the kitchen appliances and cabinets, etc. She shows you every closet and cubbyhole, including the electrical fuse box. And she obtains the services of an inspector who is as thorough as she is but has even more knowledge. She will zealously represent you when negotiating for the house. In addition, when I couldn’t be mentally available for the closing due to an infusion at the hospital the day before closing, Brigid arranged to have all the settlement papers prepared several days before closing to allow me to review and electronically sign all the documents. On closing day, Brigid was there for me. Even after the closing, Brigid continued to offer her help. She came to the home to wait for the security system to be installed and offered to help me replace a broken part on the stove. Brigid is also an interior designer, so she can help you with arranging and/or ordering the furniture if you want! Brigid went to the local mattress store so that I could order a bed and have it delivered to my home in Asheville. In that way, I would have a bed to sleep in when I arrive. As anyone can see, Brigid has been an absolute godsend for me. I could not recommend her more. She is the best realtor you could want.

Ms. McIntyre was professional and patient. She kept us informed at all times. We chose her because she was the only realtor who did not demand e-mail addresses and other information in the early part of our search when we made it clear that we were "just looking." She trusted us to contact her when we were ready, and we did. She is a pleasure to work with and very knowledgable about real estate in the area.
