We decided to buy a home with certainty but had our fair share of hesitation and nervousness regarding the “how”.. A lot of it was based on the fact that we had never bought a home before and we didn’t feel like we knew what questions to ask ourselves and the listings. That’s where Amy came in. She was enthusiastically vouched for by some friends and once we had our initial conversation, it was easy to see why. She is very empathetic to needs, wants, and any of the million emotions you feel when you decide to purchase the biggest thing you’ve ever bought (by many orders of magnitude!). She can give you a technical breakdown of all the features in a home you’re seeing, she can perform homebuyer therapy, and she can do everything in between. She has a vast network of other agents, contractors, inspectors, artisan bakers etc. and she will not hesitate one bit to leverage it if it will help you. The best thing I can say about her is she will adapt to complement your personality(s). For example: She is never pushy - but you can tell her if you require nudges at times and she will oblige. Whether what you require in an agent is technical or emotional, whether you know it or not, Amy provides. As I’ve told her a couple times in our time together - she is very good at a job that can sometimes get very strange. The house we’ve bought is something we are amazingly excited to build a home and a life together in. And we’d never have gotten here this easily if not for Amy Thickpenny. I didn’t know her 6 months ago when she came heartily recommended, and I would recommend her just as heartily to everyone in my life now.
