Alex was the best realtor we could have had as first time home buyers. He answered any and all questions we had and looked at so many houses with us multiple times a week for almost an entire year. We really appreciate Alex and the time he put in to help us buy our new home!
I feel that we started off just fine but in the end I felt the relationship was very strained. Since this was my first selling of a home I knew nothing about the process. I asked a lot of questions and felt by the end of the process we had rubbed each other the wrong way. I know that every client is different, what I would have liked to see Alex do is keep me more informed. Since we had a few bumps in the road with the first offer. When the first offer needed to have new outlets in the kitchen and downstairs I let them into the house and it turned out to be a very wrong decision. When I went to check on the house I found out that there was no power in the utility room nor in the kitchen outlet they had tried to replace. Right after that they backed out of the contract. They said it was a death in the family and they needed all their money to go to the funeral expenses. Probably true but a strange coincidence. At that point things changed. When the new offer came in I was really in need of being in the loop I was concerned that this one as well would back out. I always tried to let Alex know if I was going to be in cell phone coverage (out at camp) and would always ask (via text) please let me know when you hear something. I felt I wasn't kept in the loop as much as I would have liked ....knowing that the inspection was ok, knowing if the potential buyer had signed the extension. I felt I was always asking him if things were getting done. I sort of felt like a pain in the butt. Again this is just my personality and I realize now that maybe it wasn't a good fit.
