I rarely write reviews but my experience with Maurice was so exceptional it would be a disservice to not write a review about it. This will be a bit long but I mean every word of it! My wife and I went into Naples and wanted to get an idea of what we could get at our price point and it was clear we needed local help. So after a google search and reading the reviews, we gave Maurice a call. We were surprised at the number of real estate agents representing Naples that don't actually live in Naples. We wanted a local expert. We got that with Maurice. Maurice is not only a real estate agent, he also has extensive building experience. His experience literally saved us more than 8% on the cost of new construction. Every time the builder we chose would say an upgrade would cost "X" Maurice was able to say what the actual cost was and the builder would lower the cost because Maurice was right and they knew it. For instance, I witnessed where the builder would say "but we need to put in additional plumbing" when we wanted to add a pool bathroom, but Maurice had looked at the blue prints and pointed out that they didn't need to because a rough in for an outdoor kitchen was already priced in. An option he also got greatly reduced in price. Things like that saved us tens of thousands of dollars. We spent two full days with Maurice non-stop and he was always kind, understanding, and professional. The home my wife and I were interested in had not been built in Naples yet. The closest model we could actually walk through was in Sarasota so my wife and I indicated we were going to drive up to Sarasota to see it and Maurice went with us. He even drove which was a 3 hour round trip! I honestly believe if we had attempted to do the leg work ourselves or with someone less knowledgeable than Maurice it would have cost of us tens of thousands more and we would not have come close to getting what we are now getting. Additionally, since we are from out of state we need someone local we can trust to watch the construction and make sure the changes we've indicated are indeed happening. I am 100% confident that Maurice is the right person. I work in the technical field. I am out of my element when it comes to home construction and the building process. If you do not have the necessary skill set so you know exactly what you are doing I believe it would be a mistake to not call Maurice and get the skill set you need on your side of the negotiations. We could not be happier with the way things turned out and we believe this is just the start of a long relationship.
