With respect, I wish to commend your realtor, Maureen Doherty, who, with her husband, made the sale of our beloved SRQ condo happen with absolutely NO hassle or trouble to me during a time of my own personal distress.
As long-time SRQ Snow Birds, my husband and I arrived in January, looking forward to warm weather. Within a week, my husband of 49 years was, inexplicably, diagnosed with "Sudden Onset Dementia” and hospitalized in SMH for 5 days, followed by 19 days in "The Springs" Rehab.
It was obvious our lives had permanently changed, and we had to return to Colorado asap for his care.
As Maureen had occasionally shown us properties over the years, along with sending SRQ updates, I emailed her. Comparables in hand, she arrived at my door, and I sadly listed the condo my husband and I had enjoyed for 23 years. Our Colorado granddaughter flew to SRQ to help us return home, and I closed the condo door for the last time the day following Mac’s release from "The Springs" Rehab. Maureen then took over taking care of everything. Everything! She assured me, in my distress, not to worry about the condo.
When the first contract bailed, she quickly found a second at an improved price! If the Inspection had problems, I never heard about them. Yesterday’s closing was 100% trouble-free. I simply could not have asked for better. She and her husband make a marvelous team and are assets to Michael Saunders & Co. and humanity. I am humbled and grateful.
