Hamid is a fantastic real estate agent. I've used him both to buy and sell a home in Washington DC. He's patient, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a tough but fair negotiator.  When we were buying a few years ago, Hamid steered us away from a couple of places we considered making offers on, because he correctly predicted which ones would be tougher to sell if the housing market tanked (as of course it did). Seriously, can you find another real estate agent who will discourage you from buying the wrong place, rather than just close the deal and take the commission? He stuck with us and worked a few weeks longer to find a place that fit everything we were looking for.  A few years later, when it was time to sell, we thought we should do some due diligence and talk with other agents. But we wound up with Hamid again. Most of the others wanted us to make all kinds of expensive upgrades to our place before putting it on the market, which would have come close to wiping out most of our equity. Instead, Hamid identified the 2 or 3 things that truly did need to be done, and he put us in touch with great, economical contractors to do them.  Everything worked great. Other similar units were on the market for 30-45 days, but we sold ours the first week. We sold for a fair price, and I think everyone walked away happy on both sides of the deal.  Hamid exceeded my expectations. He works hard, communicates promptly, and follows through. Plus he speaks four languages fluently, which can help in a multicultural city like DC. I recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell residential real estate in Washington, DC and the surrounding area.
