In the interim, she had a varied career in education and business, and served on the faculty of Riverview High School as a teacher of French in the International Baccalaureate Program. Her personal interests have also led her into the retail antiques and interior design trade, with businesses in Coconut Grove and in Maryland. She put her language skills to use in the field of immigration law as legal assistant for a large firm with offices in Miami and Sarasota. Carolyn has enjoyed living in many parts of the U.S. as well as in France and South America.
