Buying a retirement home in Bozeman is something we had been dreaming about for years. Friends of friends had just bought a house there, and highly recommended their agent, Ami Sayer. Fortuitously, we decided to go with her as well. The market in Bozeman had been climbing for years, and by the time we arrived, our dream home was out of range. But Ami told us not to despair, explaining how prices fluctuated at different times of the year. And so after learning a little patience, we are now the happy owners of a lovely home that sits on a hillside overlooking the entire Gallatin Valley. We could not have gotten our house without Ami. Ami Sayer is a professional who is tied into the housing market in Bozeman better than anyone. She is an economist, and so understands real estate markets nationally. She was not afraid to give her opinion on the various houses we saw, both good and bad. As we travelled around the valley with her, we learned to trust her judgement. While Ami is a pragmatist - she knows that a real estate purchase is a financial transaction - she also is keenly aware that our hearts play a part in this affair, and that they needed to be included. But the bottom line in all of this is that Ami was able to get us a house that met our needs and dreams through her knowledge of the market and superior negotiating skills. During the purchase, Ami was with us every step of the way. She recommended a local bank for our loan, and she knows the best people for inspections, flooring, roofing, etc. When we are ready, she will give us the names of contractors to do some needed work. Ami loves Bozeman, and enjoys being an ambassador for the city. And while she is an extraordinary real estate agent, I feel we have also made a new friend, who we can invite to our home, and sit on the back patio, enjoying a glass of wine as the lights of Bozeman twinkle below. If you are looking for real estate in Bozeman, Ami Sayer of Berkshire Hathaway should be at the top of your list. Elizabeth and Robert Loftis
