We had been in contact with her for a little over a year about buying a home, and she was always patient and helpful as we figured out when the timing was right for us. We reached out very last minute on a Saturday about a house we loved, and she made time to walk through it with us the very next morning. We immediately fell in love with the house, but quickly learned that it was extremely competitive. We were told that there were already 8 offers after only 2 days of being on the market, and the sellers were making their decision that Sunday night. We were definitely discouraged, especially because we were starting from square one that morning. We didn’t have a lender picked out, pre-approval ready, or anything else in place to submit an offer. Kim immediately jumped into action and somehow made sure we had everything we needed to get an offer submitted that same day. That night, she called to tell us our offer was accepted, and we could not believe it! My husband and I were truly shocked and in disbelief. There is no doubt in our minds that Kim’s knowledge, urgency, and experience are the reasons we were able to get the house of our dreams, in the neighborhood of our dreams!! From that whirlwind of a Sunday all the way through closing (just 30 days later, I might add…), she walked us through every step. As first-time homebuyers, there were many times we were confused or had no idea what we were supposed to do next, and Kim was always available to hop on the phone, answer our questions, and make sure everything kept moving. Beyond being an amazing realtor, Kim is also just an incredibly kind and caring person. She knew we were expecting our first baby, both still working and now trying to buy our first home within 30 days…and there were multiple times when she went out of her way to make things easier for us- even coming to us to pick up documents or other items and taking them wherever they needed to go. If you want a realtor who knows Wilmington, knows how to get things DONE, will advocate for you, and will genuinely care about you throughout the process, Kim is your realtor.
